Taoilored sol-gel materials: Funcitonal aerogels and thin films
Sol-gel chemical methods are used to produce new materials with custom tailored properties. Depending on processing, from one and the same sol solution we produce aerogels, xerogels or thin films. Typical applications involve high-performance insulation, optical materials, coatings and multilayers for lage aera glazing and façade systems.
