Materials Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
In this module, we contribute to a safe and sustainable development of nanotechnology. We analyze possible adverse effects on humans and the environment as early as possible to avoid social and economic drawbacks. How much NP are used in what products? What are their behavior, form and concentration in the environment? What are the potential effects on organisms including human being? These are crucial questions we like to find answers.
The interdisciplinary approach combining nanomaterial characterization in different biological environment, Life Cycle Perspectives, Modelling flows and behaviour in the environment , experimental work in eco- and human toxicology, we are able to provide comprehensive and reliable data for industries and society.
