We provide the services needed to create and maintain a productive work environment for all Empa's scientific, technical and administrative staff.

About us

Our work area compasses responsibility for all the eqipment in Empa's buildings and the external systems, including their maintenance, upkeep and cleaning. Exployee safety and protection across the entire site is an important matters to us. We administer access to both our own vehicles and to leased vehicles, and are responsible for maintaining both. We also serve as Empa's interface to the outside world in that we operate the mail and shipping services, the telephone switchboard and the reception area for visitors.

In addition, we are responsible for the adminstration of 40 apartments with a total of 116 completely furnished, well equipped rooms. These are let either as apartments or single rooms to guests of Empa and Eawag, as well as those of the ETH Zurich. Provided that there is free capacity, these rooms and apartments are also available to other interested persons. Further details can be found here.
