Exploiting the potential of simultaneous analysis of seven singly and doubly substituted N2O isotopocules to disentangle production pathways

In the SNSF funded “7up project” we research the potential of clumped isotopic species to provide novel insights into formation temperatures, reaction mechanisms and kinetics of N2O formation / destruction. For this we will advance our laser spectroscopy-based analytics and apply it to study temporal trends in N2O isotopic species for prominent microbial and abiotic production pathways.
