Poster Guidelines
Layout
A typical poster is a single, printed page measuring no larger than 1.15 m wide x 1.45 m high. We do not have layout requirements regarding posters, but we suggest a size of DIN A0 (upright). The presenters are encouraged to mount their posters as early as possible and to leave them in place until the end of the conference. The poster area will be accessible Tuesday evening through Friday afternoon, May 19-22. The pin boards will be designated with the poster number, title and author names. Each presenter will mount his/her poster to the panel (pushpins will be provided). We will not have facilities for printing your poster - bring it with you!
Poster session
The poster sessions will take place Wednesday, May 20, and Thursday, May 21, 13:30-14:30. Presenters are encouraged to remain with their posters for the duration of the poster session to discuss their results and answer questions. All presentations must be confined to the poster topic itself. Handout materials are welcome in the poster session. Other display equipment or devices, such as computers, sound or projection, free-standing or three-dimensional display demonstrations, cannot be accommodated.
Student poster award
The best student poster presentations will be recognized with certificates and monetary awards. Student participants who wish to be considered for this award must present their posters at the poster session (in person). Posters will be evaluated by a team of designated judges (criteria can be found here). The poster award ceremony will take place on Thursday evening at the banquet.
Aftermath
Presenters are responsible for removing their posters after the conference concludes (no posters can be removed before Friday, May 22). The Fiber Society and Empa will not assume responsibility for unclaimed posters or supplemental material.
