Controllability

The ehub infrastructure is designed in a way that allows partners from the industry and research to define the behavior of the system, for example the hardware setpoints, themselves. Additionally, they are able to access the controllable infrastructure remotely via defined interfaces provided by the ehub team. Partners can also implement controllers on the local infrastructure, via Python client, LabView, MatLab connectivity or via REST API.

The installed infrastructure is in daily operation. If no tests are carried out, a fallback controller operates the infrastructure. This fallback mode can serve as a benchmark, as it acts like a regular industry controller.

Through their control over the ehub infrastructure, partners gain important insights on their research questions and product development.
