  • The NEST partners 3E Flow and Georg Fischer AG are launching a partnership.
  • Georg Fischer AG includes the innovative 3E Flow system in its portfolio. Thanks to its implementation at NEST, they were able to convince themselves of its marketability.
  • In autumn 2020, the tweo companies will be launching a unique product offer on the market that optimizes the energy consumption of the water cycle.

The two NEST partners 3E Flow and Georg Fischer AG are entering into a partnership to jointly offer a unique portfolio. Preparations are currently underway to launch the new offer on the Swiss market in autumn 2020.

NEST as catalyst

Both companies have already realized projects at NEST. It is therefore not surprising that the involvement in the research and innovation building created points of contact that have promoted the launch of the new partnership.

"As a NEST partner from the very beginning we were able to get to know many interesting partners – among them 3E Flow. The fact that the innovative start-up implemented its product at NEST convinced us of its marketability and showed us that there was great potential for a cooperation," says René Holderegger, expert for drinking water hygiene at Georg Fischer Piping Systems (Switzerland) Ltd.

Creating a complete package together

3E Flow's product is an innovative system that returns water from the pipe back into the boiler when the tap is turned off. As soon as the tap is turned back on, the cold as well as warm water flows back to the tap with minimal delay. Thereby, the start-up ensures that the pipes are empty 99 percent of the time. This has various advantages, such as greatly reduced energy and water consumption and increased comfort. In addition, it prevents the pipes from freezing and thus reduces the risk of water damage.

Georg Fischer AG, a company with a long tradition, offers a comprehensive range of products in various industrial sectors. One division - GF Piping Systems - focuses on system solutions and components for the safe transport of water and gas. Its product portfolio covers all applications in the water cycle. With the addition of the 3E Flow system, the product range is now being expanded. "We see that the products of Georg Fischer AG harmonize very well with our system. Thanks to the newly acquired partnership, we can offer owners, planners and sanitary engineers a comprehensive product portfolio for the entire water cycle that greatly optimizes energy and water consumption. This is internationally unique," says Daniel Hasler, CEO 3E Flow.

Market entry in autumn

Preparations for the market launch are currently in full swing. The task now is to finalize the integration into the portfolio. The sales representatives of Georg Fischer Piping Systems (Switzerland) Ltd will then be trained in the new product. The system will be available on the Swiss market starting in autumn 2020. If successful, the product range will be extended to other markets.
