Lysander Huberich
Biosketch
Lysander Huberich received his BSc and MSc in Physics from ETH Zürich. During his master studies he focused on experimental and theoretical aspects of condensed matter systems and computational physics. In his master thesis he investigated the dielectric behavior of single crystals of 1D quantum spin systems at very low temperature.
In February 2022, he started his PhD at Empa's nanotech@surfaces Laboratory in the frame of the ERC StG project 2D Quantum Materials led by Dr. Bruno Schuler. In his PhD project, Lysander will characterize atomic quantum emitters in 2D transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) by atomic spatial scanning probe microscopy with ultra-fast temporal resolution.
