Marco Finger
PhD Student
Biosketch
Marco obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Chemistry and Molecular Sciences from the University of Bern under supervision of Prof. Natalie Banerji. During his Bachelor's thesis, he investigated the optical properties of non-fullerene acceptors for application in organic photovoltaics, whereas his Master's project was concerned with time-resolved spectro-electrochemistry measurements of various types of conjugated polymers for applications in bioelectronics.
In September 2024 he joined the nanotech@surfaces Laboratory at Empa as a PhD student. His project is concerned with the design and characterization of novel light-emitting graphene nanoribbons and their integration into opto-electronic devices.
