Sensors, Joule heater, and thermal management
Over the years, we have collaborated with different groups at Empa for aerogel-based sensor applications. This includes flexible aerogel films for highly reproducible and reversible solid-state ammonia sensors, as well as aerogel piezoresistive pressure sensors using metal nanomaterials, graphene, or MXenes. Additionally, our work extends to 3D printed thermal management and Joule heaters based on high-performance aerogel composites and 2D materials.
