Wearables and Biosensing
Vision & Mission
What do we do? Development of fiber- and textile-based wearables for diagnostics and feedback-controlled therapies (theranostics) in skin-related and deep tissue applications.
Why do we do this? We target prevention, diagnosis and treatment for acute and chronic health conditions.
How do we do this? Our approaches include: 1) Integration of active and responsive moieties into fibers, membranes, and textiles; 2) control of the nanoscale arrangement of the moieties and their interaction with the matrix for steering the sensing performance and release kinetics in selected environments; 3) development of wearables for superficial and deep-tissue sensing providing medical-grade and reliable signals.
