Wave-based Propagation Simulation
Wave theoretical acoustic field calculations are based on the fundamental physical relationships between the parameters that describe an acoustic field. These numerical models are capable of simulating the relevant acoustic propagation phenomena exactly, which means that wave phenomena such as interference and diffraction are inherently included in such a simulation. Since complex geometries and material properties can be handled, these simulations are regarded as the gold standard or reference and are used to assess and develop engineering models. We develop own solvers for wave-based simulations in two and three dimensional geometries.
