“Friends of Empa” successfully launched
In dialog with the people at Empa
Empa wants to further strengthen its dialog with the interested public. To this end, it launched a new initiative called “Friends of Empa” on the Open Day - which met with great interest.
How can we treat tumors better in the future? How can we ensure that the earth remains livable for future generations? Empa researchers put their heart and soul into answering these and many other important questions every day. In order to promote the dialog between the public and these researchers, Empa has launched a new initiative: “Friends of Empa”.
The launch took place on the Open Day in mid-September. The “Friends of Empa” team welcomed visitors in a cozy lounge. There, guests were able to take a break and talk to the service staff, which consisted entirely of Empa PhD students – very much in the spirit of promoting dialog. The initiative met with great interest on the part of the guests. Almost 200 people decided to become a “Friend of Empa” – and the number is growing steadily.
A glimpse behind the scenes
However, what exactly is “Friends of Empa”? The initiative aims to create a community of people who are interested in Empa and its research. It is open to everyone. “Friends of Empa” have access to exclusive events, presentations and lab tours. In this way, “Friends” learn first-hand from the researchers what they are currently working on and get a look behind the scenes that is normally not possible.
