Swiss Remote Sensing Days 2025

25 - 27 August 2025

Empa, Academy, Dübendorf

The Swiss Remote Sensing Days (SRSD) is a meeting for the Swiss remote sensing community, initialized by the Swiss Commission on Remote Sensing of the Swiss Academy of Natural Sciences. It is a platform for exchange between young and established researchers working to understand our environment and society through images acquired by a variety of sensors, from satellites in space to drones and cameras in mobile phones.
During this three-day event, young researchers (typically PhD students) will interact with senior researchers, present their latest results, and participate in community-building activities that will prepare them for an active life in remote sensing.

Location & Date

The SRSD 2025 will be taking place:
  • Date: August 25th-27th, 2025
Start on Aug 25th at about 10:30h.
End on Aug 27th around noon.
  • Location: Empa Academy, Überlandstrasse 129, Dübendorf. The Academy is located on the Empa campus, which can easily be reached by bus (bus 960 from railway station Stettbach with stop in front of Empa) or by train (10 minute walk from railway station Dübendorf). Both Dübendorf and Stettbach can be reached from Zurich main station within about 10 minutes).
More details and options to reach Empa can be found here.
